New research shows women make up nearly 50 percent of the advertising industry. Emphasis on “nearly” – as in, “still not quite.”
Yet, they account for just 11 percent of creative director positions.
And in a world where women are making 85 percent of all purchasing decisions, it can’t hurt to have women doing more of the creative decision making for our industry, and that we should probably hear the perspectives of the ones who are, like Meghan Phillips.
